SKETCH PERIOD
I was given the task to create a logo in which represented a high school team of females 14-18 that focused on all things media. This means that I had to think what exactly “media” meant while keeping the public range right. So I began sketching a few ideas:
ILLUSTRATION PERIOD
The Creative Manager had already given me three options for the fonts. So I was able to go straight into the illustration phase with three chosen to make:
After many decisions, the final design was chosen to be this one:
This design was based out of a camera’s lens. It was illustrated as a form of emblem for easier production. Cameras are the number one tool for content creation so I thought it was brilliant to capture the feeling of one while also maintaining the serious medal like nature the director wanted for the high school girl team.
COLOR PERIOD
I was given creative freedom to choose the colors myself, so I ought to find something that represented a medal. Some colors that popped out with their respective backgrounds, similar to those of sports logos. Here were the results:

SKETCH PERIOD
I sketched a ton of ideas that emphasized an aggressive-like cookie. Here is what the six best ones started as:
FONT PERIOD
After sketching and coming up with a bright idea of this product, I decided it was time to look for the perfect font for this project:
ILLUSTRATION PERIOD
Now that the fonts were decided, it was time to combine the two in one for a neat Illustration. Here’s how they look:

Color Period
Now that the design was decided and Illustrated black and white, I chose to look for colors that best suited this logo. Paying mind that the customer wanted blue somewhere, I decided to instead compliment it with these pantones:
And after careful consideration and exploring, I decided to use these colors:
